LET'S PLAY TW.. ZZZZZZ!

Wasn't it just a few days ago we were all feeling like the extensive travel to begin the season wasn't having much of an effect on the Red Sox? Well, after a three-game sweep in Toronto I think it's safe to say we were wrong. The Blue Jays put the finishing touches on this lost series with a 7-4 victory that showed just how much in need of some home cooking this Boston team is in need of.

With 16,000 miles already logged in travel to start the season the Red Sox are heading home. Shortstop julio Lugo committed three errors, the bats are sleeping and the bullpen is spent. The home opener Tuesday afternoon at Fenway Park with the Ring Ceremony taking place in pre-game is just what this team needs. At least that's the hope.

There's not a whole lot to talk about in this one. However, let's point out some positives.

* The Red Sox are coming home
* J. D. Drew is hitting the ball well (.375, 2 HR's)
* The Red Sox are coming home
* Overall the starting pitching has been solid
* The Red Sox are coming home

I think we all get the picture. Here's hoping tuesday is as spectacular as we all expect it to be.
